Andrew Octopus: The Octopus Files, December 08
Weyl wrote several important books about abstract algebra; My current study is algebraic topology.
"The angel of topology and the devil of abstract algebra fight for the soul of every individual discipline of mathematics."
--Hermany Weyl.
Weyl wrote several important books about abstract algebra; My current study is algebraic topology. Yet I am strongly attracted both the history of Christianity and to DJ'ing Theory. Take that as whatever premable you need.
CHAPTER ONE
Once upon a tomorrow as a beautiful as blue, a beautiful virus: a latex spaceship piloted by an ersatz snowman made of yellow cake mix; astronaut flickers-- hits dimensional dimmer switch. Gunshot skullfuck rainbow nosebleed. Currency exchange rate; gold-plated hollow-points isomorphic to a network of moebius bugs. We print our own money; we make our own drugs. Live in our moms' basements, hosting shows on our own radio stations. We subject ourselves to advanced interrogation. We build our own spaceships, define our own relationships, take truth serum to help us prove theorems. Are you serious, mark? Welcome to the circus; through a surface, darkly. You can't fool me--I know what you need. Amplifiers hooked up to ravers' pacifiers: feedback simulacra. After these messages, we'll be right back.
CHAPTER TWO
You can't fool me--I know what you need. Intergender businessmen flirt with tape recorders that change their own playback speed (make their own fast forward and rewinding decisions). We live in glass houses trading automatic weaponry to underground pop stars for rhodium jewelry. These days, that passes for autonomy. We start cassette labels, repair turntables; music is one of the dirtiest of businesses, but we do what we have to to feed our babies.
END TRANSMISSION.
